T.v. and culture:the role of the public television

Culture is the core of public television. This is the reason why the crisis of identity and the financial problems of public television produce, as a consequence, a crisis of culture in tv programming. In every European country this is the main topic of the political-cultural discussions caused by different factors: the wide-spread importance of the commercial televisions, their competitiveness; the enormous increase of channels in the digital age.
